‘Good Move’ for GOP to Target VP Harris

GOP presidential hopefuls are strategically highlighting the potential of Vice President Kamala Harris stepping into the role of President if Joe Biden secures another term, according to former White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley.

Gidley, a member of the Trump administration from 2019 to 2020, anticipates Harris to be a focal point for Republicans in the 2024 elections.

Highlighting Harris’s potential leadership role is a tactful approach in presenting the case for a Republican leadership over Biden’s, Gidley remarked during his appearance on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America.” The vice presidency, as often commented upon, is a position few might desire, yet none would decline.

Gidley pointed out Harris’s less than stellar popularity within her party. “During the debates, she labeled Joe Biden as a segregationist and made other accusations against him. Their relationship isn’t necessarily on the best of terms.”

Emphasizing the proximity of Harris to the presidency, Gidley remarked, “She’s essentially next in line for the presidency. Astute political observers and savvy candidates will emphasize that a vote for Biden might essentially be a vote for Harris.”

Gidley further commented on Biden’s perceived deteriorating health, suggesting, “Given Biden’s apparent decline, both mentally and physically, the likelihood of Harris taking the reins in the second term, or even sooner, seems more probable than not.”
