‘Information War’ Waged on IDF’s Evidence

Recently, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have released video footage supporting their assertion that Hamas militants are using medical facilities in Gaza, including hospitals, as a cover for their operations. This revelation comes amidst increasing skepticism and what retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt, refers to as an “information battle.” He shared these insights on the program “Wake Up America.”

Holt emphasized that supporting Hamas does not equate to supporting Palestinian interests, highlighting that Hamas has long dominated the Palestinian population. He pointed out the tendency of some viewers to dismiss these videos as mere propaganda, despite their revealing nature.

A recent video distributed by the IDF shows that the Rantisi Hospital for Children in Gaza was being used by Hamas as a base for terrorist activities. Holt remarked on the IDF’s effectiveness in providing concrete evidence of Hamas’s strategy of using civilians and sensitive sites like hospitals as shields. He noted that the footage offers a glimpse into a larger intelligence picture regarding Hamas’s tactics and the support they receive from Iran and others.

In related discussions, Victoria Coates, a former deputy national security adviser under President Donald Trump, expressed confusion over the lack of attention to hostages taken by Hamas in October. She criticized the Biden administration’s push for Israel to implement humanitarian pauses to facilitate aid to Gaza, arguing that these pauses should not have been agreed upon without securing the release of the hostages first. She fears this gives Hamas undue bargaining power, potentially leading to demands for the release of their prisoners.

Additionally, Holt shared his views on the recent meeting between President Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He expressed skepticism about the promises made during this meeting, including commitments to resume military communication and curb fentanyl production. Holt criticized the U.S. approach to the talks, suggesting that the U.S. overestimated China’s bargaining position, especially given China’s current economic challenges and internal opposition to Xi.

Holt also commented on Xi’s recent visit to San Francisco, noting the lack of American flags during his procession, and criticizing California Governor Gavin Newsom’s overly welcoming approach. He viewed this as a diplomatic misstep by the U.S., missing an opportunity to assert a stronger position in international relations.
